Today, December 1, 2009, the horror genre lost one of its greatest stars, Jacinto Alverez Molina, better known as Paul Naschy. Naschy was the Spanish equivalent of Vincent Price or Boris Karloff, and is best known for his portrayal of Nobleman werewolf Waldermar Daninski. He was one of my personal favorite genre stars, and I for one will miss him terribly. Do yourself a favor if you’re a fan of gothic horror, track down “Night Of The Werewolf” or “Horror Rises From The Tomb” in honor of El Hombre Lobo. If it doesn’t terrify you, it will at least make you smile. As he always did for me.  Good night, Waldermar!!
