One of the best independant horror films that I've seen in the last few years is director Justin Paul Ritter's "Katiebird: Certifiable Crazy Person". It's amazing and if you haven't seen it you should check it out immediately. We just got word that his second film "A Gothic Tale" has just completed and it stars Uber bad ass "Rowdy" Roddy Piper!! Read about it after the jump!!

And be sure to check them out at

Writer-Director Justin Paul Ritter, (IMDB,www.imdb.com/name/nm0728772/ ) coming on the heels of his critically acclaimed 2005 debut Horror Thriller Feature Film, "Katiebird" (http://www.katiebirdthemovie.com/ ) has crafted a brilliantly haunting modern day Gothic tragedy, inspired by the most influential and creative minds of classic Gothic storytelling. Based on the works of Edgar Allen Poe, Robert Louis Stevenson and Nathaniel Hawthorn, a visually inspired Justin Paul Ritter takes us on an emotional and violent journey that examines love, emotional greed and personal choice, as well as challenges one's own sense of morality, loyalty, and the consequences of spiritual compromise. Narrated by W.W.E. Hall of Fame Professional Wrestler Roddy Piper ( IMDB,www.imdb.com/name/nm0684929/ ) as the “Homeless Sage”, the film Stars Marshal Hilton as “Mark Heim” in the Lead Role (IMDB,www.imdb.com/name/nm0385288/), Actress Jamie Hood as “Lillian”, C.J. Baker as “Thomas Heidegger” and Ryan McGivern as “The Stranger”. Inspired by the Gothic story classics, “A Gothic Tale” (www.Agothictale.com) examines the deconstruction of three tortured souls that will forever be linked in hell at the mercy of one another, because of the compromises they made to be free of one another.
